After surveying the crime scenes of a slain police officer, murdered female, arson case, and more, players will be able to use such authentic tools as the UV Light to reveal dried fluids, the magnifying scope to look for fibers or hairs, and the print brush to dust for fingerprints. After a mystery is solved, players will receive feedback from Gil Grissom on their performance and assigned an overall rating based on the total amount of information collected. The goal for each case is to gather enough evidence to lead to an arrest, at which point another case will become available. Players assume the role of a lowly CSI intern as they prepare to solve five cases by visiting the crime scenes, collecting evidence using 14 forensic tools, having it analyzed, and interviewing potential suspects with the help of Las Vegas Police Detective Jim Brass. Fans of the hit CBS television show can now become active participants in the search for evidence along with the cast of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
